** “Blended”: meaning a combination of “Part 1” (online training attendance) & “Part 2” (in-person training attendance)

Enrollment:

  • Himalaya Yoga Valley  reserves the right to refuse admission to  Teacher Training, and Yoga Professional Development Courses.
  • In the event that admission is refused for any reason within the discretion of Himalaya Yoga Valley after payment of deposit or in full , 100% of all moneys received by the company minus a 30% administration fee will be refunded to the payor.
  • Latecomers may be admitted to trainings and courses at the discretion of Himalaya Yoga Valley.
  • Himalaya Yoga Valley require that all trainees attending our Teacher Training program and PD courses in all locations have comprehensive travel, medical and cancellation insurance for the duration of their training.
  • As this is not a prenatal specific training program with modifications made to sequences and asana, Trainees who are pregnant are not permitted to partake in the online training for health and safety reasons of the baby and Mother. Yoga during pregnancy is contraindicated for the first trimester. The highest risk for miscarriage occurs in the first trimester as this is the time of embryo implantation and attachment of the placenta to the uterus. Teacher Training is an intensive training with a minimum of 4 hours of yoga practice per day, well above the range of physical activity a yoga class one attends as a student. Yoga can be practised after the first trimester but it must be modified. We do not offer these modified postures on the TTC. Trainees who suspect they may be pregnant are strongly advised to seek medical advice before commencing a TTC as they are required to cease their training if they find out they are pregnant during the course. In this instance, the pregnant trainee can resume their training at a later date within 2 years of their enrolled date. If Himalaya Yoga Valley discontinues the training program or ceases operations they are not liable to issue any refund in this instance.
  • Neither Himalaya Yoga Valley, trading under the company Evolution Group FZC,  or any of its staff, teaching staff, managers, volunteers, or interns are in part, or in full, responsible for any aggravation or reoccurrence of a current cited medical condition /injury or a newly sustained medical condition/injury that may occur while participating in either Part 1 or in Part 2 of Himalaya Yoga Valley yoga teacher training programme, and/or professional development course.

Security of Information:

  • Himalaya Yoga Valley takes the privacy and security of our trainees and their personal information very seriously. Information collected is used strictly by us to provide our services to you and as is required for the provision of our services.
  • Information submitted to Himalaya Yoga Valley may be shared with administrative staff and teachers solely for the purpose of administration and teaching.
  • Trainees understand that Himalaya Yoga Valley engages in social media networking, such as Facebook, Instagram etc. as part of the company’s promotional endeavours, which may involve sharing of photos or other information.
  • Himalaya Yoga Valley may contact graduates in the future about upcoming events and opportunities. This will require the use of trainee contact details. If trainees are uncomfortable with this please make this explicitly known to the staff via email.

Payment:

  • Himalaya Yoga Valley cannot guarantee a place on a Teacher Training Course training until a stipulated deposit amount has been received. Upon receipt of the deposit the trainee will be fully enrolled in their selected course.
  • Himalaya Yoga Valley has full discretion to offer discounts and concessions at any time. This does not automatically entitle other trainees to the same discounts and concessions.

Cancellation:

  • In the event that a trainee is asked to leave a Teacher Training because of a breach of Terms & Conditions or the Code of Conduct Agreement, there is no refund of training fees or compensation of any associated personal expenses incurred by the payor.
  • Himalaya Yoga Valley, trading under the company Evolution Group FZC,  accepts no responsibility for cancellations, delays, changes or losses caused by acts of God, war, and threat of war, closure of airports, civil strife, epidemics, pandemics and outbreaks, natural disasters, accidents or any other events beyond our control. This includes injuries, illnesses, medical or psychiatric conditions of trainees developed during or subsequent to the course as well as loss of, or damage to, personal property during the training.
  • In the unlikely event that a Himalaya Yoga Valley training,  PD course,  workshop  is cancelled 100% of the payment will be refunded, or an alternative  training or course placement will be offered.
  • Where an enrolment is cancelled by a trainee for any reason, the deposit is not refundable. Transfer of deposit to another training , for exceptional reasons, will be at the discretion of Himalaya Yoga Valley management
  • If a training must be abandoned or interrupted due to exceptional circumstances there will not be a refund if more than half of the training has been completed (start and finish dates inclusive).
  • Himalaya Yoga Valley, trading under  the company Evolution Group FZC, accepts no responsibility for flight costs in the event of cancellation of trainings, workshops or retreats. The Company is not liable for any flight cancellation, rescheduling or delays.

Injury or illness prior to or during the training:

  • By partaking in trainings, workshops, retreats or classes, trainees retain control and direction over all their physical activities and voluntarily assume full liability and accept the risk of harm, including physical injury and discomfort as a result of my participation in activities during the programme.
  • Himalaya Yoga Valley , trading under the company Evolution Group FZC, accepts no liability for any injury or illnesses that occur to trainees during the trainings, workshops, retreats or classes.
  • The nature of a yoga teacher training, retreats, workshops and classes includes a certain level of interpersonal physical contact. By participating in this yoga events trainees voluntarily agree to this contact and understand its professional nature.

Photo Release :

  • Pictures may be taken during trainings, workshops, retreats or classes and used in any marketing or promotional capacity such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, the company website etc. By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions trainees give full permission for this information to be released.
  • Photos and videos taken by trainees during trainings are deemed to be for learning and personal use only. Sharing this information with third parties or for financial gain without full permission of Himalaya Yoga Valley is strictly prohibited.
  • Himalaya Yoga Valley , trading under Evolution Group FZC,  retains no liability for use of pictures or videos taken by trainees of the training, the teachers or other trainees.

Use of Materials:

  • Materials that are part of any training, workshop or retreat including but not limited to the Himalaya Yoga Valley Teacher training manual, workbook and handouts  the general layout of the Himalaya Yoga Valley Website, logos, trademarks and webpages content are the property of  the company Evolution Group FZC. Using this information with third parties or for financial gain without full permission of Himalaya Yoga Valley is strictly prohibited.

Changes to our Policy:

  • It may be necessary for us to review and revise these Terms and Conditions. Himalaya Yoga Valley reserves the right to review and change these terms and conditions at any time. If revised, changes will be posted on the website.

Program Changes:

  • Himalaya Yoga Valley reserve the right to alter the programme or curriculum and to select staff from a pool of qualified teachers depending upon availability per training.

 

200 Hour *Blended Teacher Training Terms and Conditions

Enrolment

  • Himalaya Yoga Valley reserves the right to refuse admission for an enrolled trainee to commence the 200 Hour Teacher Training, Part 1 and/or Part 2. In the event that admission is refused for any reason within the discretion of Himalaya Yoga Valley after payment of a deposit or in full, 100% of all monies received by the company minus, a 30% administration fee, will be refunded to the payor.
  • In the event that a trainee is asked to leave a Teacher Training because of a breach of Terms & Conditions or the Code of Conduct Agreement, there is no refund of training fees or compensation of any associated personal expenses incurred by the payor.
  • Latecomers may be admitted to a training at the discretion of Himalaya Yoga Valley.
  • Himalaya Yoga Valley, trading under  company Evolution Group FZC, requires that all trainees attending Part 2 of our Teacher Training program have comprehensive travel, medical, program, and flight cancellation insurance for the duration of their training.
  • Himalaya Yoga Valley requires trainees to accept and agree to the Code of Conduct Agreement before commencing training.
  • Himalaya Yoga Valley may require trainees to sign a Self-declaration of Medical Fitness for Existing Condition(s) or Injuries before commencing the teacher training. Where a trainee has been specifically requested by Himalaya Yoga Valley to get medical clearance from their physician for a cited medical condition or injury, this clearance letter must be presented in the soft copy before commencing Part 1 of the teacher training.
  • Trainees who are pregnant are not approved to partake in the 200 Hr Blended teacher training for health and safety reasons of the baby and Mother. Trainees who suspect they may be pregnant are strongly advised to seek medical advice before commencing any mode of Teacher Training as they are required to cease their training if they find out they are pregnant during the course. In this instance, the pregnant trainee can resume their training at a later date within 2 years of their enrolled date. If the training programme is discontinued the company ceases operations within this two year period Himalaya Yoga Valley is not liable to issue any refund. Our priority is always the safety and wellbeing of our students.
  • Neither Himalaya Yoga Valley , trading under Evolution Group FZC,  or any of its staff, teaching staff, managers, volunteers, or interns are in part, or in full, responsible for any aggravation or reoccurrence of a current cited medical condition /injury or a newly sustained medical condition/injury that may occur while participating in either Part 1 or in Part 2 of Himalaya Yoga Valley yoga training programme.
  • Himalaya Yoga Valley, trading under Evolution Group FZC,  provides no indemnity or insurance to participants and accepts no responsibility for any injury, accident or issue that may occur while participating in either Part 1 or in Part 2 of Himalaya Yoga Valley teacher training programme.
  • The nature of an in-person yoga teacher training includes a certain level of interpersonal physical contact (for example giving and receiving physical adjustments). By participating trainees voluntarily agree to this contract and understand its professional nature.

Payments

  • Himalaya Yoga Valley cannot guarantee a place on a Teacher Training Course training until the agreed deposit has been received. Upon receipt of the deposit, the trainee will be fully enrolled in their selected course.
  • Himalaya Yoga Valley has full discretion to offer discounts and concessions at any time. This does not automatically entitle other trainees to the same discounts and concessions.
  • Payment for the course should be made according to the payment schedule agreed on enrolment using “Stripe”, our secure electronic payment portal or other  agreed electronic payment portals.
  • Trainees are not permitted to transfer their enrolment to another person.

Cancellations and Refunds

  • Where a trainee has paid the full fee, or part of the fee, and later decides that they do not want to proceed with the Part 2 in person component of the course, they can continue with their Module B online training to the 5 months completion date as per Online Training timeline.  There is no refund of Online fees.  Fees supplement paid for Blended Training will be refunded for a cancellation by the trainee of Part 2 up to 14 days before Part 2  is due to commence. The fee Blended fee payment will not be refundable, for cancellation after this 14-day period.
  • Where a trainee has commenced  Part 2 of the teacher Training and elects not to complete it, the fees paid to date are non-refundable.
  • Himalaya Yoga Valley, trading under Evolution Group FZC, accepts no responsibility for cancellations, delays, changes or losses caused by Acts of God, war, and threat of war, closure of airports, civil strife, epidemics, pandemics or other disease outbreaks, natural disasters, accidents, or any other events beyond our control. This includes injuries, illnesses, medical or psychiatric conditions of trainees developed during or subsequent to the course as well as the loss of, or damage to, personal property during the training.
  • If Part 2 of a teacher training must be cancelled or interrupted due to unusual circumstances outside the control of Himalaya Yoga Valley :                                               (a) the training will continue online with an extension of the completion date  and pro rata refund of the Part 1 fee portion                                                                         (b) the trainee can opt to continue Part 2 at a different time within 12 months.      (c) If completing their teacher training Online  (a) above , or completing Part 2 of their teacher training within 12 months (b) above, is not suitable for a trainee, then they can cancel their Teacher Training enrolment and receive a refund of the Part 2 portion of their training fee.   
  • Where an enrolment is cancelled by a trainee for any reason, the deposit or fee is not refundable.
  • Transfer of deposit to another training, for exceptional reasons, will be at the discretion of Himalaya Yoga Valley management
  • Himalaya Yoga Valley accepts no responsibility for flight costs in the event of cancellation of trainings. The Company is not liable for any flight cancellation, rescheduling, or delays.
  • Himalaya Yoga Valley , trading under the company Evolution Group FZC,  has no affiliation, or receives any reward or commission from any transport, restaurant, or accommodations providers and accepts no responsibility for services provided.
  • Himalaya Yoga Valley, trading under the company Evolution Group FZC, is not responsible for booking cancellations, service standards, or service errors at a hotel, guesthouse, hostel, or other accommodation where a trainee is staying during Part 2 of the blended training.

Photo and other Media Release

  • Pictures, videos or other recordings may be taken/made during trainings, workshops, retreats, or classes and used in any marketing or promotional capacities such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, other social media platforms and the company website, etc. By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, trainees give full permission for these materials to be used.
  • Photos and videos taken by trainees during trainings are deemed to be for learning and personal use only. Sharing this information with third parties or for financial gain without full permission of Himalaya Yoga Valley is strictly prohibited.

Virtual Studio and Home Learning Environment

  • Trainees agree to create a safe home learning environment, particularly in relation to asana practice. They agree that there will be a minimum of 4 feet of free space around the yoga mat. They agree to remove any nearby furniture or objects and be away from sharp corners. They agree to practice on a level and not a slippery surface, always using a yoga mat. They agree to follow all safety instructions from Himalaya Yoga Valley teachers.
  • By partaking in this  training, trainees accept responsibility to retain control and direction over their own physical activity/actions whether in or out of class and accept full liability and accept the risk of harm, including physical injury and discomfort as a result of participation in activities during or after the programme.
  • The participant who has signed up for the course is the only person entitled to view the recorded or live classes and access course material no sharing of login details are permitted. Anyone else accessing the course is liable for payment in full of the course fee.
  • Trainees are strictly prohibited from any recording or image capture of classes, either live or recorded, from Himalaya Yoga Valley Online, or any other Himalaya Yoga Valley Websites, unless explicit written permission has been granted.
  • Students are not permitted to take photos of the course screens or engage in any photography or filming of other trainees or teachers.
  • Himalaya Yoga Valley retains no liability for use of pictures or videos in the event they are taken by trainees of the training, the teachers, or other trainees.
  • Trainees are forbidden from taking photos or capture of onscreen course content or engaging in any photography or filming of other trainees or teachers.
  • Himalaya Yoga Valley has the right to change or cancel any online classes in Part 1, including the description of the class, the teacher, and the content of the lecture as a result of changes beyond Himalaya Yoga Valley’s control.
  • Himalaya Yoga Valley has the right to change the learning platform to another of their choice.

Trainee’s health and well being

  • Trainees agree that they undertake training in Part 1 and Part 2 at their own risk. Himalaya Yoga Valley, trading as the company Evolution Group FZC, accepts no liability for physical injuries or psychological/mental ill-health occurring during Part 1 and/or Part 2 of the training.
  • Trainees agree to follow the instruction of Himalaya Yoga Valley teachers for injury prevention, including modifications for asana and use of props.
  • Trainees with pre-existing or current physical injuries or other medical conditions will make these known to Himalaya Yoga Valley before enrolment. During the training, they will monitor their own bodies and will follow the advice of Himalaya Yoga Valley for modifications and yoga props for the injury(s) or condition (s).
  • Trainees with pre-existing and current injuries and medical conditions have contacted their treating physician or allied professional (physiotherapist, counsellor, etc.) for clearance to enrol and participate in the online training.
  • Trainees understand and fully accept that neither Himalaya Yoga Valley ,trading  under Evolution Group FZC, or any of its staff, teaching staff, Managers, volunteers, or Interns are in part, or in full, responsible for any aggravation or reoccurrence of a current condition(s) or newly sustained related injury (s) that they may incur while participating in any part of Himalaya Yoga Valley blended (online or in-person) yoga training programme.

Intellectual Property

  • Unless otherwise stated, Himalaya Yoga Valley, trading under the company Evolution Group FZC, owns the intellectual property rights for all material used for Part 1 and Part 2 of the training course
  • All intellectual property rights are reserved.
  • Trainees may view and/or print pages from www.yogagoaindia.com & www.himalayayogavalley.online for their own personal use subject to restrictions set in these Terms and Conditions.

Trainees must not:

  • Republish material from yogagoaindia.com or himalayayogavalley.online
  • Or: Sell, rent or sub-license material from yogagoaindia.com or himalayayogavalley.online
  • Or: Reproduce, duplicate or copy material from yogagoaindia.com or himalayayogavalley.online.
  • Or: Redistribute content from Himalaya Yoga Valley (unless content is specifically made for redistribution).
  • 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Participation and Assessment
  • On acceptance to the Himalaya Yoga Valley 200hr Blended Yoga Teacher Training and on payment of the fees as per the payment schedule agreed, the trainee is expected to fully participate in Part 1 (online) and Part 2 (in-person classes).

Completion of all course components is required.

  • If a trainee is unable to attend a particular live-streamed class(es), for reasons beyond their control, the trainee is advised that they must view the equivalent recorded class outside of scheduled class hours as soon as possible. For the purpose of Himalaya Yoga Valley Standards and requirement of Yoga Alliance for hours attended, all classes must be logged for attendees.
  • If a trainee enrols for a place on the Himalaya Yoga Valley 200hr Blended Course, the trainee agrees to complete fully Part 1 (the online component of the training) before commencing Part 2 (in person). They agree to engage with the course content and complete all course work to a satisfactory level. If a trainee refuses to participate in certain yoga practices or course content, whether online or in-person, for whatever reason – this may affect the successful completion of the training and certification of the trainee.
  • Throughout the course, teachers will advise students of areas where they may need more work, or further refinement to develop their practice. If students refuse to engage in ongoing learning and development on the course, this may impact the successful completion of the training and certification.
  • For assessment of successful completion of Parts 1 and Part 2, teachers will take into account online class attendance, in-person class attendance, continuity of learning, and full participation in all aspects of the course lectures, asana classes and course material.
  • All assessments and teaching practicums will meet the required standard as defined by Himalaya Yoga Valley in order to receive endorsement for Certification.
  • No extension of the course completion date will be given.
  • Himalaya Yoga Valley reserves the right to select yoga teachers from a pool of qualified teachers depending upon availability and location.

Security of Information

  • Himalaya Yoga Valley takes the privacy and security of our trainees and their personal information very seriously. Information collected is used strictly by us to provide our services to you and as is required for the provision of our services.
